A Brooklyn-based artist, Marguerite Dabaie was raised in San Francisco before moving to the East Coast to attend the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She graduated in 2007 with honors and decided to stay in NYC. While in school, she received two grants to publish her ongoing work, The Hookah Girl and Other True Stories. She spends her days making comics and illustrations, teaching art and hosting workshops while working at a museum in Manhattan. She is also currently earning an MFA in illustration at Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. Wish her luck.
